About this service

This notice explains how the team operating VoidMail handles information when you use this temporary-email service. Contact us about privacy through support@voidmail.in or our contact form. Independently hosted installations of the software have their own operators and policies.

Information we handle and why

  • Temporary mail: inbox addresses, access and ownership credentials, sender details, message headers, subjects, bodies, attachments, arrival times and read state let us receive, display and protect your mail.
  • Accounts, when available: your name, email address, password hash, confirmation state, sign-in and suspension records, and inbox associations support account access and recovery. Social sign-in, if offered and chosen, supplies a provider identifier and profile details such as name and email.
  • Support: contact submissions include the name, reply address, subject and message you provide, a reference and handling status. They are saved for the service team and may be forwarded through our outgoing-email provider.
  • Security and operations: network requests expose IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs and times to our hosting and web/mail servers. The application also records hashed request fingerprints, mailbox events, rate-limit information, sessions and diagnostic records. These help prevent abuse and investigate failures.
  • Browser storage: cookies keep your session and inbox access; local storage remembers appearance choices. See the Cookie Policy.

Temporary does not mean anonymous

A temporary address avoids giving a sender your usual address, but does not hide your network activity from every party. Private inboxes require their access credential. Anyone with that credential can access the inbox. Public-mode inboxes can be opened by address. Authorized administrators can access stored mail for operation, support and abuse handling. This service is not end-to-end encrypted storage.

Lifetime, deletion and retained records

At publication, new inboxes default to 60 minutes, with a configured maximum of 240 minutes. The timer beside an address shows that inbox's actual expiry. An expired inbox stops accepting mail. Scheduled cleanup runs every 15 minutes when the server is operating normally and removes its stored messages and attachments. Ending an inbox requests removal immediately; deleting an individual message hides it from the inbox, with remaining stored copies removed during inbox cleanup. A service outage can delay physical cleanup.

Released addresses have a 24-hour reuse cooldown at publication and may later be assigned again. Expiry does not delete account information, support requests or operational records. Those records remain until separately deleted for account, support, security or administration purposes; the standard inbox cleanup does not impose a fixed deletion period on them. Ask us about access or deletion through the contact above.

Private recovery backups and update snapshots can contain older database and file copies. Deleting live mail does not rewrite an existing backup. Such copies remain until the operator removes them under its backup procedures and are restricted to recovery and administration. Copies downloaded by you, kept by senders or held by an external provider are outside our inbox cleanup.

Providers, disclosure and international access

Hosting, network, DNS and email providers process information needed to operate the service. Optional social-login, CAPTCHA, advertising or analytics integrations can process information when enabled; review any provider notice shown with the feature. Opening an external link or allowing remote content in an email connects your browser to that third party. Their policies govern that interaction.

We may disclose relevant records when legally required, to investigate abuse or protect people and the service. Providers or authorized support personnel may process information in a different country from yours. Contact us for details of the providers and safeguards applicable to your request.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can end an inbox, remove browser storage, download available mail, update account details where offered, and contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent or a complaint to a privacy regulator. We may need proportionate proof that a request concerns your data. Never send a password, inbox token or recovery code as proof.

We use information to provide the service you request, protect it, handle support and meet legal obligations. Where applicable law requires consent for an optional use, that use requires the relevant consent. Do not use temporary inboxes for sensitive personal information or long-term account recovery. The service is not intended for children below the age at which they can lawfully use it independently.

Changes and contact

We will update the date on this page when this notice changes. Material changes will be communicated on the service or through an available account contact where appropriate. For privacy questions or requests, use support@voidmail.in or our contact form.

Current demo configuration

This demo is hosted with Contabo. No analytics or advertising code is configured, and Google/Facebook sign-in and CAPTCHA are not enabled. Web access logs rotate daily with 14 retained rotations; system and mail logs rotate weekly with four retained rotations. Application records and private backups follow the separate retention limits described above.
