Storage used by VoidMail
Cookies are small values your browser sends back to a website. Local and session storage keep preferences in your browser. This page explains the storage used by the temporary-inbox application.
Essential cookies
- Application session and request protection: the session cookie and XSRF-TOKEN support sign-in, language selection and protection against forged form requests. The configured session lifetime at publication is 120 minutes.
- Inbox ownership: voidmail_owner_token and voidmail_access_token preserve access to your private inboxes. They are set for up to seven days and can be refreshed by use. A cookie does not extend an inbox's own expiry.
Preferences and offline assets
Local storage remembers theme, palette, layout and inbox-focus preferences. Session storage can remember dismissal of a notice for the current tab. Browser notification permission is controlled by your browser. When the installable web app is enabled, a service worker caches interface assets for loading and offline guidance; a live connection is still needed for mail. Clearing website data removes these stored choices and may remove your access to private inboxes.
Optional third parties
If social sign-in, CAPTCHA, analytics or advertising is enabled, the relevant provider may use its own cookies or storage. Provider notices and any required consent controls apply to those optional features. Loading external email content or following a link can also expose your browser to another website's storage rules.
Your controls
You can inspect, block or remove cookies and website data in browser settings and revoke notification permission there. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in, inbox access and form submission. End an inbox before clearing access cookies if you want to request removal of its stored mail. See the Privacy Policy, or contact us through support@voidmail.in or our contact form.
