A temporary address, used well

A small boundary between your everyday inbox and the things you only need once.

A download, a preview, a quick sign-up. Sometimes you need an email address for a moment, without starting a long relationship with another mailing list.

A temporary inbox gives that moment its own address. It works best when you decide what the address is for before you use it.

Keep the important things somewhere permanent

Use your regular email for banking, purchases you may need to prove, work, healthcare, and anything that relies on future account recovery. If losing an address would lock you out of something valuable, a temporary address is the wrong choice.

For a one-time download or an evaluation you are allowed to make, copy the address from VoidMail and leave the inbox open. Messages appear as they arrive. Some services do not accept temporary addresses; respect their rules instead of trying to work around them.

Finish the task before the clock runs out

Check the countdown beside your address. Read the message, take the verification code or download what you need, then finish the task. You can export a message as an .eml file if you need your own copy. That export is reconstructed from the stored message and attachments.

Ending an inbox makes its address unavailable to that session and removes its messages through the cleanup workflow. It does not delete the account you created on another website, or the information you already gave that website.

Think of it as a boundary

Temporary email can reduce inbox clutter. It is not a promise of anonymity: the website you visit and the operator of an email service can still process technical information. Read the service's privacy policy and avoid sending sensitive documents to a temporary inbox.
